General Rules and Regulations of the Watershed

Water related activities are strictly prohibited. No swimming, fishing, boating, ice skating, or ice fishing are allowed on any of the Districts’ public water supply reservoirs, including BOULTER POND, MIDDLE POND, FOLLY POND and BELL MARSH RESERVOIR (KITTERY’S supply) or CHASE’S POND and WELCH’S POND (YORK’S supply). Foot travel only, within 250’ of the normal high water mark of any of the above listed reservoirs, unless you are on an approved trail. Other prohibited activities include tree cutting, burning of fires of any kind at any time, camping and any other activity that would anyway degrade the land or water supply. There is a “carry in, carry out policy, no littering.
